When is The Alluvion Opening?
The Alluvion is a new state-of-the-art performance venue located at 414 E. 8th Street in Traverse City (in the new Commongrounds Cooperative building). It's a highly anticipated addition to the city's cultural landscape and is set to bring new and exciting entertainment experiences to our community. The venue boasts thoughtful design with state-of-the-art sound, lighting and video technology, making it the perfect destination for concerts, theater productions, and other live performances.

USDA Awards Crosshatch $50,000 for Climate Change Farming Initiative
The USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture and the North Central Extension Risk Management Education Center have awarded $50,000 to Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology to launch the Carbon Farming Planning Cohorts program.

Farmers, home-scale growers, students, food producers and eaters will gather at the Northern Michigan Small Farm Conference—that is, over the internet. The pandemic has driven another year’s conference to the web, but this year the conference is more than twice the size. What hasn’t changed: a chance to network, share ideas and gain new skills that will make small farms in Michigan more economically viable and environmentally sustainable.
