accessibility

Crosshatch is committed to creating accessible events and will, upon request, provide auxiliary aids and services to ensure effective communication with individuals with need to the fullest extent possible. These may include services such as qualified interpreters, readers and note takers; devices such as assistive listening systems; written materials for individuals with hearing loss; taped text, braille, or large print materials for individuals with vision loss; live captioning for video conferencing; and flexibility in procedures. For inquiry about accessibility needs, please contact Katrina Daniels at katrina@crosshatch.org or (231) 533-2555.

Our offerings take place across the region, so physical accessibility can vary greatly from event to event. Details on the accessibility of our spaces are below. Accessibility information for events taking place outside of our own spaces can be found on the event’s detail page.

accessibility in our spaces

Bellaire: 221 N. Bridge St.

The retail and workshop space on the first floor of the building is easily accessible without the use of stairs, but the bathroom does not currently meet accessibility standards. As we update the space, we plan to add additional accessibility features.

The upstairs apartment used for artist residencies and other purposes requires climbing a staircase to access the space.

TRAVERSE CITY: COMMONGROUNDS

The Commongrounds building is fully accessible, with ramp access, an elevator, and accessible bathrooms.
