Innovation on the Farm: Moveable Hoophouses and Small-Scale Equipment

Get a snapshot of a farm other than your own and get a close up view of Spirit of Walloon Market Garden, a vegetable farm focused on an ecologically and biologically based production system that prioritizes soil health and plant and insect biodiversity. On this tour, you'll see interesting ways to prep beds and get a good look at John and Rachel's hand-built moveable hoop houses.

Twilight Tours are an opportunity for area small farmers to learn from one another’s practices through a series of tours and farmer-led workshops. Farm tours are particularly valuable for beginning farmers as a way to build relationships, observe a wide variety of management styles and find support from a peer network. Upcoming Twilight Tours will have a unique theme, depending upon the farm. Following the tour will be plenty of time for Q&A.
